The miniExcel adds a new, compact version to the range of Excel models. The NH1033 wing profile allows a fast flight style that is close to that of many Hotliners. On the other hand, the miniExcel also has the good sailing characteristics typical of the Excel Family. Raisable ailerons allow the miniExcel to land precisely. Lightweight batteries, drives and RC components enable a high-strength construction of the wing in the proven Simprop Styro-Abachi construction method with a low flying weight. The split wing and the removable, foldable V-tail make the miniExcel the ideal holiday companion with the least amount of space required for transport.

The multiple record-breaking pilot Dr. Wolfgang Schäper put together the drives and placed emphasis on the highest levels of efficiency. As an inexpensive entry-level engine, the MaxDrive 540 BB already delivers very convincing climbing performance of 4 or 5 m/s. Eight lightweight SIMT 8/1700 AU NiMH Gold cells enable 8 to 9 climbs to 150 m, followed by unrestricted thermal or aerobatic pleasure. If you like it hotter, we recommend the two brushless drives Magic-Drive 30-46 or 40-42 for climbing speeds of 7 to 9 m/s. Of course, all other drives recommended for the Excel Competition 3 can also be used. All motor-prop combinations are designed for eight-cell flight batteries. We recommend the SIMT 8/1700 AU NiMH Gold up to a maximum current consumption of 25 A, and the RC1600 above that. The RC1200 can also be used up to approx. 30 A, with motor running times reduced by approx. 30%. We recommend our CAM carbon propellers in the specified dimensions for all drives. Their thin profile and large blade width contribute significantly to the high efficiency of the drives. The kit consists of the finest prefabricated parts in the usual excellent SIMPROP quality. The wing is divided into two parts with a 6 mm steel rod as a connection. The installation of the remote control and drive only requires a few simple steps. The high level of prefabrication of all components allows the wing and tail unit to be mounted onto the fuselage directly from the modular system. The fuselage is delivered with a molded nose, so that fans of pure gliding with the miniExcel also have a classy slope and thermal glider at their disposal.
