The all-new Team Losi Racing® 8IGHT-XE ELITE buggy builds on the championship-winning heritage of its predecessors with updates to the suspension geometry and drivetrain as well as the chassis layout that make it both easier to drive and tougher to beat. Plus, it includes the option parts our award-winning race team uses to win races around the world. It's ready for high-level competition right out of the box. The 8IGHT-XE ELITE has a combination of features second-to-none including carbon center diff brace, 3.5mm shock shafts, aluminum front brace, front universals, 10mm wing riser, wider hexes, new pistons, carbon fiber arm inserts, poly-carbonate wing, updated rear CVA axles, and so much more. In a class all by itself, the 8IGHT-XE ELITE buggy is designed for the elite racer and podium-ready.
The 8IGHT-XE ELITE now includes the option parts our elite level race team utilizes to win races around the world, thus making for a vehicle that is high level competition ready right out of the box. Included option parts are carbon center diff brace, 3.5mm shock shafts, aluminum front brace, front universals, 10mm wing riser, wider hexes, new pistons, carbon fiber arm inserts, poly-carbonate wing, and updated rear CVA axle.
A new ELITE chassis that moves weight forward and decreases wheelbase is included to give the car more overall grip. Chassis width has been increased from the 4.0 to X to aid in stability and give the buggy a more neutral feel.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE will include rear CVAs with an updated axle and shaft providing more overall rear grip to the car and better tracking through the bumpy conditions.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE will includes updated universals for the front which makes the car smoother existing turns and aids in the flow in bumpy track conditions.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE includes an updated aluminum front brace that provides smoother steering response.
Updated +1mm width hexes are included for the rear of the 8IGHT XE ELITE to add stability in high speed turns.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE includes updates to both the IFMAR wing as well as our polycarbonate wing. We also include a 10mm wing riser for added rear grip.
Lightweight and durable motor mount that aids in heat dissipation and is easy to adjust for quick gearing changes. The motor is now mounted to the chassis rather than hanging off the center diff for added durability.
The steering rack allows more ackerman adjustments and an improved servo saver to eliminate bellcrank bind during high loads.
Updated machined aluminum shock caps with threaded bleeder holes for easy and consistent bleeding of oil. New bladders are also included for better bump handling.
Webbing added between inner mounting tabs to ensure hinge pin fitment. Mold updated to increase strength. Suspension arms have been designed to accept stiffener plates that will allow racers to tune the flex of the suspension. The Elite kit will include both molded plates and carbon plates.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE now includes black anodized machined 7075-T6 aluminum shock towers with updated camber link holes previously included with the 8XE.
The front and rear diff case have been altered to allow easier access to the differentials without removing the bulkheads from the vehicle. The front diff case has been updated to allow better fitment of the front arms while the rear case has been updated to increase the strength of the area holding the shock tower.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE shocks are optimized and lightened to decrease the center of gravity and lower the weight of the car as well as offer the use of both 3.5mm and 4.0mm shock shafts.
A cab forward design helps with overall down force, which improves steering and overall stability. Cut lines have been updated for ease of installation and changing of settings.
The center drive shaft angles have been modified so they are equal front to rear allowing for a more 4WD feel to the vehicle.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE suspension geometry has been completely revamped making a car that is fast, nimble, and easy to drive. This includes a myriad of updates including longer front and rear arms, wider front pivot with less scrub radius, narrower rear pivot, and updated hub offset.
The pinion bearing size inside the front and rear gear boxes has been increased for added durability.
17.5 degree caster blocks are included that allow the height of the spindle to be adjusted up and down for more or less high-speed stability.
Sway bar system that has collars that eliminate side to side play to provide a more consistent suspension package.
The chassis side guards have an improved fit onto the chassis.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE comes standard with rear axle mud guards. These guards not only protect your rear axles and bearings from damage during rough and wet conditions, they also keep your axles running smooth and precise in all conditions.
The 8IGHT XE ELITE features a newly designed battery mounting system that not only saves weight, but it also makes battery installation and removal quick and easy.
